Fees and Insurance
Fees
Healthcare access should not depend solely on a family’s ability to pay.
My practice uses an anti-oppressive approach to fees that recognizes how income inequality, racism, disability, immigration status, gender and sexual identity, and other structural inequities can shape both health and access to care. A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are available for individuals and families who would otherwise be unable to access services, without requiring people to prove or justify financial hardship.
This approach is grounded in equity rather than charity: those who are able to pay the standard fee help sustain a practice in which greater flexibility can be extended to those with fewer financial resources. My goal is to balance the sustainability of a small independent practice with a commitment to making thoughtful, individualized care more accessible across differences in income and circumstance.
Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance companies directly. After your visit, I can provide a superbill containing the information needed to submit a claim for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by insurance plan, so I encourage patients and caregivers to contact their insurance company before beginning care to understand their out-of-network benefits, deductible, reimbursement rates, and any requirements for submitting claims. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.
